Isaiah 6:1-4, 8

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne,

high and exalted; and the train of his robe filled the temple.

Above him stood seraphim, each having six wings:

with two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet,

and with two they were flying.

And they were calling out to one another:

“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Hosts;

all the earth is full of his glory.”

At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook,

and the temple was filled with smoke...

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying:

“Whom shall I send? Who will go for Us?”

And I said:

“Here am I. Send me!”

On this mountain the LORD of Hosts

will prepare a lavish banquet for all the peoples,

a feast of aged wine, of choice meat,

of finely aged wine.

On this mountain he will swallow up

the shroud that enfolds all peoples,

the sheet that covers all nations;

he will swallow up death forever.

The Lord GOD will wipe away the tears from every face.

Isaiah 49:5-6

And now says the LORD,

who formed me from the womb to be his Servant,

to bring Jacob back to him,

that Israel might be gathered to him—

for I am honored in the sight of the LORD,

and my God is my strength—

He says: “It is not enough for you to be my servant,

to raise up the tribes of Jacob,

and to restore the protected ones of Israel.

I will also make you a light for the nations,

to bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.”

Isaiah 65:17-19

For behold, I will create

new heavens and a new earth.

The former things will not be remembered,

nor will they come to mind.

But be glad and rejoice forever

in what I create;

for I will create Jerusalem to be a joy

and its people to be a delight.

I will rejoice in Jerusalem

and take delight in My people.

The sounds of weeping and crying

will no longer be heard.
